Winterbrook Kennel is a small kennel located in the small town of Darrington, Washington. Darrington is 75 miles northeast of Seattle and 57 miles northeast of Everett. We strive to breed quality Parti Yorkies that are both intelligent and friendly and able to be an active member of their group. Although Parti Yorkies are not at this time able to be shown in AKC sanctioned conformation shows because of their coloring, it is our hope that this will someday change. In the meantime, we are working towards improving the bloodline and attempting to ensure that when that time comes that there will be Parti Yorkies that can compete in that field. By selectively breeding for quality puppies, we hope to be continuously improving both conformation and personality. Please see our puppy page for available puppies for sale.
UPDATE: I have now added AKC Golden Retrievers to our family focusing on the lighter color often referred to as English Cream. Please check back as I continue to update the web page. I am so excited about this new venture. English Cream is a coloration that I adore. Genetically, English and American style goldens are both what we know as golden retrievers. What we see as the English cream variety are preferences selected for in European countries where the lighter color is preferred, whereas by AKC standards the lighter color is "undesirable". In addition, body type is slightly different to accommodate differing standards in different areas of the world. My foundation dam "Kali" comes from European lines.
