Puppies will be sold with a limited registration. AKC registration ensures the purity of this breed. Limited registration prohibits these dogs from being shown in AKC sanctioned conformation shows and disallows registration of any puppies born from theses dogs.
Parti Yorkies already cannot be shown in AKC sanctioned conformation shows because currently their beautiful coloring is considered a fault. It is our hope that sooner, rather than later, this will be changed by the AKC. In the meantime it becomes important to ensure that Parti Yorkies are breed to keep proper characteristics required by the breed standard. It will be integral in eventually being able to enter them in conformation shows if and when AKC fully recognizes their coloring. If you are interested in breeding Parti Yorkies, please be upfront.
The lighter colored Golden Retrievers are "undesirable" in the AKC show ring. Fully Registered Dogs can be shown but will most likely be heavily "faulted" due to their lighter coloring. The European countries (FCI registry) does not fault this coloring so many of these dogs are getting imported in order to keep to the standard that is similar to AKC while also providing the lighter color which is becoming more desirable.
